Vintage Report from the Winery:

Vintage 2013 is right in full swing at the moment and everything
is pointing to an outstanding year!

Firstly the Chardonnay has the winemakers excited with great
flavours and high intensity and the Pinot Gris and
Gewurztaminer has had similar feedback. The Chardonnay
was distributed into three lines between Methode Traditionalle
sparkling base, hand-picked barrel fermentation and the mid-
range lightly oaked style.
Our Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc has only just started harvest
so it is a bit early to make the call here but certainly the numbers
look good.
We have harvested our Hawkes Bay Merlot at 24 brix and this
was a standout crop and is currently undergoing fermentation in
the drainers, making the most of the lovely full flavours and colour
enhanced from skin contact for the last 7-10 days.

The weather has been extremely kind with plenty of time to pick
off varieties as they've come ready, however we still have half of
the Sauvignon Blanc and all our East Coast Merlot to go so are
keeping an careful eye on the skies for the next 2 weeks.
